Prepared before the call. Calm while it runs. Notes when it ends.

Tellbird is a Mac app for interviews and calls. It prepares you from your own CV and the company's website, then keeps the answer, your notes and the next step in a small private panel while you talk.

Tell me about a time something broke in production.

At Northwind the checkout started failing for one card network on a Friday. I rolled the release back first, so customers could pay again in twelve minutes. Then I traced it to a timeout we had shortened the week before. We now load test every payment change against each network before it ships.

The reading is done before you sit down.

Accept the invite and Tellbird reads the company, writes the notes and prepares your answers. Here is an example week.

  1. Monday, 18:02

    You accept an interview invite from Acme.

    Tellbird makes an Acme profile and reads acme.com, scripted pages too.

  2. Monday, 18:03

    Company notes appear in the profile.

    What Acme does, who it sells to, how it works, and a first answer to why you want to join.

  3. Monday, 18:05

    The likely questions are answered.

    From your CV, the job post and your own stories, in your words, ready before the call.

  4. Thursday, 09:55

    A notification offers a five-minute warm-up.

    A spoken interviewer asks three questions. Your answers are scored on your Mac for length, filler, hedging, and names or numbers your CV does not mention.

Warm up for Acme?

Five minutes, three spoken questions

export async function retry(pay) {
for (let i = 0; i < 3; i++) {
const res = await pay();
if (res.ok) return res;
await wait(2 ** i * 200);
}
}

Say: It retries a payment up to three times,

It also explains your own code:

point it at a project or a public GitHub link and it writes the walkthrough in your voice.

Hi, I am Ada.

I build payment systems that stay up on the busiest day of the year.

At Northwind I led the checkout team through a full rewrite.

Now I want to bring that to a team moving money across borders.

Thank you for watching.

Recording 0:21

It reads your recorded intros with you:

write a script, let Tellbird tighten it to 60 seconds, and read it on a prompter that follows your voice while it records your face with subtitles.

“Walk me through a decision you made with too little data.”

To fix: name the result in numbers.

And it runs mock interviews

from your prepared questions, with a report of what to fix.

The answer, in a small panel beside the call.

When the question lands, a short answer starts appearing in the panel, written from your profile. Questions you prepared for show their answer at once.

Led by your own work
Each job has a profile. Answers are built to lead with the projects that fit the role, and you read every one before you say it.
It follows your voice
Read the answer out and the highlight keeps your place, a line at a time.
Coding on screen
One key reads the task in front of you and gives a solution with a line to say at each step.
Short, medium or long
One key changes how long the answers are, mid-call.

The panel as the app draws it, with an example answer. In the app the highlight follows your voice; here it moves as you scroll.

Everything is a key away, and every key can be changed in Settings.

After the offer, it comes to your meetings.

Add the company as a job, and Tellbird keeps notes for every standup and client call: what was decided, what you said you would do, and who owns what. Mark who is talking and the answer is pitched for them. Ask about last week's meeting and it answers from your notes, with any password or key said aloud hidden before anything is kept.

Standup · Tuesday 09:30 · example

What was decided

  • Ship the payouts beta to 50 teams on 3 November.
  • Keep the old export until December.

What you said you would do

  • Send the load test results to Dana by Friday.
  • Draft the retry rules for review.

Who owns what

  • Dana: rollout plan
  • Sam: support docs
  • You: the retry fix
