Terms of use

The rules for using Tellbird, in plain words.

The app and your subscription

Tellbird is a Mac app sold as a monthly subscription. While your subscription is active you may install and use it on Macs you own or control, for your own interviews, calls and preparation.

Buying is not open yet. When it opens, the price, how payment and renewal work and how to cancel will be shown on the pricing page before you pay.

You may not resell, rent or share your subscription, or copy, change or take apart the app except where the law allows it.

Your AI keys and providers

Tellbird works with AI and transcription providers you choose, using your own keys. Your use of each provider is between you and that provider: their terms, their prices and their privacy rules apply to what they receive.

You are responsible for the keys you add and for what your providers charge you. Tellbird never adds to their bill.

Using Tellbird where it is allowed

Some interviews, exams, meetings and workplaces do not allow assistants, recordings or notes. You are responsible for checking and following those rules, and for having any consent the law requires before audio of a call is transcribed.

You may not use Tellbird to break the law, to harm anyone, or to pass yourself off as someone else.

Answers and accuracy

Answers, notes and code come from AI models and can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Read every answer before you rely on it or say it. You are responsible for what you say and do with them.

Screen sharing

Tellbird asks macOS to keep its panel and windows out of screen shares and recordings. This is a request to macOS, not a guarantee: other macOS versions and some capture tools may see it, and a camera pointed at your screen always can.

Privacy

What Tellbird keeps on your Mac and what it sends, and to whom, is set out on the privacy page.

What Tellbird can promise

Tellbird is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, there is no promise that it will be free of errors or always available, or that it will get you a job.

As far as the law allows, Tellbird's total liability to you is limited to what you paid for your subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as Tellbird changes. The date below shows the latest version, and an important change will be shown in the app before it applies to you.
